Monday Musings: The Learning Edition

Goggles on, tummy out... Safety First!
There are a few things that my son should learn.  I'll talk about two that I've asked him about lately:

1.  Wiping his butt.  I told him that its about time he learned to wipe his own "rear."  I can't ask him to wipe his own "butt" cause its a "bad word."  From me: Thanks Amy.  Anyway, his response: "I can't do it yet, I'm not five."

2.  Putting on his clothes/shoes.  Ok so Amy will still pick them out.  She'll probably do that until he's out of the house.  She does it to me.  "Are you really going to wear that?"  Maybe that is a topic for another blog.  Anyway, his response: "I can't do it yet, I'm not five."

Somehow, someway, five became a pivotal year.  I don't remember it being that pivotal.  I went to school when I was five, but he's still a way off from that being born in October, he'll be deeeeep into the five when he does that.  Otherwise, nothing really exciting, but apparently he's peaked at his knowledge capacity for a four year old.  Granted he probably knows more than me in regards to weather patterns, but I can put my clothes on myself.  Only once a month does the sweatshirt go on backwards, only to be fixed... quickly, so I don't get caught.

So in honor of my son, Stuff that I can't do until I'm Forty.

1.  Put the toilet seat down.  Physically impossible.

2. Go two weeks without golf.

3.  Go one day without..........

4.  Dress myself.

5.  Go to bed before ten.

6.  Apparently have a big honking recliner with my name on it... but that's not my choice.

7.  Shower more than twice a week (kidding).                              (seriously)

8.  Eat fruit.

9.  And fiber.

10.  Drink water, not soda.

Bonus:  Wipe my own butt.... Hooooooonnnnnnneeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your day.... and forget I mentioned anything about the sweatshirt.

  2. It is possible that item #3 is something that is purely innocent that I do not wish to disclose. Where is your head Mrs. Halverson??? :)
