But I digress. If you've been around Amy much you may find yourself on the receiving end of a rant about never having hot water when ever she takes a shower after me. Its usually a pretty tame rant, but she likes to let people know. As far as I'm concerned, if a temperature change happens in the shower, it should stay in the shower.
Any way, I'm going to take this opportunity to explain myself as there is a couple reasons this phenomenon happens. I will admit I take long, hot (scalding) showers. No mystery or earth rotational explanation there, not even global warming or a periodic ice age causes it.
Reason #1: I blame navy showers. On the ship, we had camp/rv shower set ups. You know the little push button thing on the nozzle at the end of a hose. Push the button to get wet, soap up, push the button to rinse. Some times there was hot water, some times there wasn't. Not to mention extremely low pressure or the feeling 50 carpenters are shooting framing nails at you from minimal range. No happy medium. There was also the time some fuel leaked into the water tank. Everyone smelled like fuel for what seemed like a couple weeks, even our food smelled like fuel. I guess it was good for the guys that didn't take showers often enough, they finally had an excuse to not. Anyway I'm rabbit trailing. Bottom line is navy showers made me appreciate real world showers.
Reason #2: Peace and quiet. Much similar to taking a seat on the throne. Except sitting on the throne has an additional defense mechanism for warding off interruptions.
Reason #2a: When I have the peace and quiet, it lets me think and believe me, I'm a thinker. That is why the name of this blog is what it is. Sometimes, its important stuff, sometimes its not. Sometimes its work stuff, sometimes its totally random randomness that I can't even track myself.
Reason #3: First one in the shower gets dibs. If Amy wants hot water she should get in it first even if it means getting up earlier. Don't tell her I said this, she'll open up a can of whoop--- on me.

| Some pretty important thought process goin on here. |
Don't worry though honey, this morning I was thinking about when we build a house I'm going to have a hot water heater installed that just feeds the bathroom in our master suite. It will be big and it will be set on a high temp. Ohhh, another thought, his and hers hot water heaters!!!!
Enjoy your day!

I certainly hope for your sake that the photo you've depicted here is of Olivia and not your beautiful redheaded wife whom I'm fairly certain NEVER looks like this!!!
