Blast from the past... Part 2

I took a quick brush through my stack of old pictures and couldn't find the 7th grade track picture, so you guys will have to wait.  Its worth it though.  In looking for it I found some pictures I took skiing up at 49 degrees North, which is north of where I grew up.  No real funny stories but some cool pictures.

It was a very cloudy day at the base, low enough that one couldn't see the top of the mountain, but it wasn't foggy at the lodge.  So math would have it that it was foggy at the top then you'd ski out of it most of the way down the mountain.

Not to be discouraged I hopped on the lift and headed up.  I bad day skiing is better than a good day working!

Hey, the sun!
This is almost spiritual

The closer I got to the top it got a little lighter which made for some cool pictures... then we broke out of the clouds.

Islands
Talk about an absolutely beautiful day!  I could have just sat at the top of the hill and been content.  It looked as if you could walk out on the clouds and the other mountain tops were islands.  I don't think I've ever witnessed anything quite like it.

Token picture of me

The wind had blown snow on the trees and it was cold enough to encapsulate them.

Skiing again is on my bucket list, along with paintball.  Especially after looking at these pics.  It was a phenomenal day.

Enjoy your day!
